About Brandon Furlong, J.D.
Brandon joined Larson Financial Group in 2012, and leads the Raleigh-Durham, NC office as a Senior Financial Advisor.
Brandon’s goal is to come alongside clients to bring peace of mind in having a comprehensive plan in place that protects and provides growth. This service takes the burden off the client in managing and directing the complexities of financial and administrative responsibilities. Brandon seeks to provide clients added confidence in knowing that their families, estates, wealth, and legacies are protected and aligned with their objectives. With Brandon’s unique blend of knowledge in financial planning, law, consulting, and investment banking, he has valuable experience in a wide array of issues that investors are likely to encounter.

Brandon received his bachelor’s degree in finance and marketing from the University of Virginia McIntire School of Commerce, ranked as the #2 undergraduate business program in the nation according to Bloomberg Businessweek 2014 rankings.
Brandon also completed a law degree at Regent University School of Law, studying estate planning, tax, contracts, business entities, and commercial transactions. Prior to law school, Brandon has worked in investment banking, management consulting, and wealth management. During his legal studies, Brandon gained experience working for law firms that concentrate on estate planning, contracts, and transactions, also working for a state supreme court judge.
While outside of the office, Brandon enjoys playing sports, working out, traveling, and serving in his church. Brandon and his wife, Sarah, are passionate about devoting significant effort to helping the poor and oppressed in the U.S. and abroad.

About Blake Bredensteiner
Blake was inspired to join Larson Financial for many reasons, specifically our team atmosphere, the driving passion, and strong work ethic of all the employees. He has a passion for details and is a quick learner. Also quick witted, Blake loves to share in a good laugh with everyone.
He was born and raised in St. Charles, Missouri and his family on both sides have resided there since the mid-1800s.
Blake has many interests and enjoys golf, playing the piano, spending time with his family, watching any and every sport on TV, Sudoku puzzles and listening to music.
Blake currently holds his Series 65 Uniform Investment Advisor license, maintains Life and Health Insurance Licenses in the State of Missouri and is a Notary Public. He has his BA in Finance from Lindenwood University.

Business term (Bt) is calculated by dividing your total business equity by your annual living expenses.
Total term (Tt) is calculated by dividing your current net worth by your estimated annual living expenses.
Real estate term (Rt) is calculated by dividing the sum of all your total real estate equity by your estimated annual living expenses.
Qualified term (Qt) is calculated by dividing your total retirement accounts by your estimated annual living expenses.
Liquid term (Lt) is calculated by dividing your total liquid assets by your estimated annual living expenses.
Tax rate (Tr) is calculated by dividing your annual total taxes by your total personal income.
Debt rate (Dr) is calculated by dividing your annual debt payments by total personal income.
Burn rate (Br) is calculated by dividing your annual living expenses by your total personal income. It indicates how much of your income is used for personal expenses.
Savings rate (Sr) is calculated by dividing your annual savings by your total personal income. Savings includes deposits made to investment accounts and other savings accounts.
Insurance rate (Ir) is calculated by dividing the life and disability insurance coverage you have by the coverage you still potentially need.
Equity rate (Er) is calculated by dividing your equity investment holdings by the total amount of investable assets you own.
Tt provides a conservative estimate of how many years you could survive if you stopped working today. It’s calculated by dividing net worth by annual living expenses. It is also a summation of the four blocks to its left which represent each asset type: Lt (Liquid Term), Qt (Qualified Term), and Rt (Real Estate Term). There’s also a bonus Element for business owners: Bt (Business Term).
These Elements represent three of the four asset types in a person’s portfolio (the fourth is a business and Business Term is a bonus Element for business owners), and when added together, they create your Tt. They also help you and your advisor understand if there’s an opportunity for better diversification.
These Elements calculate the percentage of your total income that goes toward savings (Savings Rate), spending (Burn Rate), debt (Debt Rate), and taxes (Tax Rate). These are the only four places your income can go and it’s important to keep them optimized to accelerate growth.
The top row of the Elements table contains Er (Equity Rate) and Ir (Insurance Rate). The amount of risk you should take in each area will depend on several factors including your tolerance for risk, career phase, liquidity, and financial goals.
